Leading Edge Innovations – LEI provides project management, analysis, training and documentation services to businesses implementing or upgrading IT systems and software. The company is also involved in the energy from waste sector. Providing strategy and research for a start up that has gasification technology. They convert household and other waste products into liquid fuels or electricity. LEI needed a professional logo icon to represent the company hence they approached us with a brief.
The Brief – This particular client was looking for a logo icon that fitted in a square. A smart look was top priority with clean lines and a contemporary look throughout. Colours were to be anything in the green tone range. The logo needed to represent their overall image. eco friendly with green intentions therefore this needed to be conveyed.
First of all we designed the L-E-I icon using the three first letters to fit into a block using negative space. The E appears in the free space between the other letters. Negative space is a great way to get more out of your logo icon and include a shape as a bonus. Many of the best logos use negative space as an element in the design. As designers it is a great feeling when creating a logo and successfully incorporating negative space into it. Sometimes very subtle yet still having a big visual impact. Negative space in logos is used frequently but most noteworthy only 20% are considered to be great designs. Very difficult to do well therefore look out for negative space in logos you see every day.
Their word logo was created in a very contemporary typeface and consequently looked great in white. A full branding, stationery and website was also created. With the brand enhanced it seemed like the brand was emerging well, as a result looked well placed on the site. Displayed proudly alongside our other portfolio pieces, LEI deserves its place. A brand with a logo icon like that is something to display with pride. Another logo icon with great quality will no doubt be following suit.
We had a good understanding of what was required from the brief and as a result our client was very happy indeed.
LEI have been our clients since 2005.
Seafox – This client approached us wanting a branding designed for an umbrella company. A generic logo, housing a variety of businesses under one company.
The Brief – Professional, clean and stylish with a modern feel with cool colours and sweeping movement like the sea. White is good, colours not too bright and pink is out of the question. No heavy fonts for the logo if possible.
First of all we created his corporate stationery and full corporate branding including a logo. We designed the branding in a way that would look good for a long time because the colours used are not too bright. Calming blue and sweeping lines making way for clean white space while remaining a timeless design cool and contemporary.
The dark blue hues look very smart against the large white spaces on the letterhead, complimentary slip and business card. The overall feel is that of a professional, medium to large sized company. Colour is key while totally original design elements enhance the overall branding. A well considered brand that stands up well to changing trends.
Our client was impressed throughout the design process. We were also excited to see the final results and are proud to have the designs in our portfolio of work. This typeface has a slight hint of a serif which is very slick and easy on the eye. Once the logo was done the rest of the stationery emerged relatively quickly, to our clients delight.
In conclusion it cost much less than he expected and as a result he was over the moon. He loved the logo, in addition it was the first time he had a professional logo designed. Especially relevant he has finally found a good graphic designer that gets the design right every time. He has had very positive feedback from his clients and friends and consequently can’t wait to start the next project.
They have been our clients since 2008.
Patrick and Skinner – We were a Princes Trust setup business many years ago. As a result we always prided ourselves in helping start-up businesses afford great design and photoshop work. This company was a new startup designing womens’ beautiful lingerie.
The Brief – Create a high end stunning logo, almost good enough to eat. Create a look that is truly scrumptious, while projecting a brand that women desire. Branding had to update as colour themes updated. Create and icon that would look class on labels and packaging extras like foil stickers and embossed labels as well as ribbons and gift boxes. It had to be playful with a very feminine yet modern twist. This was for their ‘chocolate & mint collection’.
First of all, a tall contemporary font, we created the main word logo, especially relevant was the design of the ‘and’ that separated the two words. It had to be feminine therefore we decided to create a ribbon that looks like it ties into a bow for packaging garments. It turned out so beautifully, making the product look stunning. Everyone involved in production and marketing loved it.
Our designers produced point of sale material, clothing tags and thank you tags. In addition we created presentation & boxes, full branding including logo and website.
This client was so impressed with our work that we ended up being part of their production team. The team that worked on the main photoshoot of the mint choc chip collection. Giving art direction and making sure the final images were scrumptious.
A fantastic day was enjoyed at the splendid, Leeds Castle. Working with models, photographers and make up artists all doing their part. It was and impressive venue, fitting for a fashion brand.
In this industry there is a huge pressure on models and agencies to produce perfect photos for magazines and packaging design.
The use of photoshop enhancements, colour correction and touch ups are rather essential to achieve a polished look. Consequently we worked skilfully on each image using photoshop tools. Expertly, we have brought out the green in her eyes to match the lingerie while giving her skin-tone that healthy gorgeous hue against the silk.
Photographers don’t always get the lighting perfect on a photoshoot. As a result an expert is needed to enhance, colour correct and touch up any imperfections. Our photos are being showcased in magazines and fashion blogs around the world. We are proud to have them on our portfolio as part of our logo design, photoshop and graphic design pieces.
In conclusion we designed a look that our client adored and most of all a logo and branding to be cherished. All in all an enjoyable yet rewarding project.
Gates Plumbing & Heating – A local Plumbing & Heating specialist firm wanted to update their corporate branding and promote using leaflet design. They specialise in the newest, innovative heating solutions for your home or business and sustainable renewable energy products such as Biomass boilers and Air-Source heating. They also supply, fit and service oil, gas and LPG boilers.
The Brief – They wanted to have a more modern feel and most of all, create a more professional upmarket first impression. A logo that is bold and would be clear on clothing and badges due to the fact that they wear uniforms and company shirts. All leaflet design needs to have the new logo and branding incorporated. A clean bold font in addition to crisp clean lines.
First of all a smart logo in navy blue on crisp white, modern clean and professional, this is the direction we went with the branding. With a line running round the stationery as a contemporary way to incorporate ‘pipe work’ feel. Every other design element uses the logo as an anchor, so we made sure it was right for the company. A corporate look, yet still a bit trendy, as a result they have had their diaries fully booked for months in advance.
Now that this branding was defined and looking good, the next step is a website that flows and adjusts to any iPad or iPhone size. This is known as “responsive”. This website has attracted a website client from South Africa within days of going live. With subtle tones and soothing contemporary colours while maintaining a professional crisp look.
The logo looks fantastic on the leaflet design. In conclusion we have done leaflet design, brand, stationery, adverts, name tags & especially relevant, a responsive website. The website is an absolute triumph and far exceeded their expectations. They were very impressed at the turnaround time for each project. Consequently we have a happy client, and a busy one too.

Stockwood Osteopaths – This client has a very well known local Osteopath. A professional logo was probably top priority because without that the rest of the projects would not be as good as they should be. Stockwood Osteopathic & Sports Injury Clinic is a private osteopathic practice that provide a complete range of diagnostic and treatment skills. Highly respected in his field consequently his company image needed to be excellent and his branding on point.
The Brief – Medical, clean, stylish and professional branding that can be carried through to all aspects of marketing and printed medical literature. This would include leaflets, appointment cards and posters. A company image that implies target pain relief and treatment rather than just pain in clinical colours. A look that will last for years to come so therefore easy to read, clean and crisp.
First of all the logo needed to show target pain while remaining clinical and contemporary. This was not an easy task. Most of all the look had to carry into the website and still look good. Therefore using blue and white kept it clean and professional. A medical feel with an image of a back and most noteworthy, the spine that implies target pain relief for the back. The branding uses the spinal concept within a human form, keeping the look consistent.
In conclusion, we have created a logo, printed literature and probably most noteworthy their corporate stationery.
He was amazed at the level of design quality and detail that went into his corporate branding. His clients have also loved the designs and especially relevant, the logo. I have to say we really enjoyed working on these elements so it seems like we created them yesterday. Seems like the branding has stood the test of time.
They have been our clients since 2006.
Town and Country Estate Agents – This was an amazing opportunity to be creative yet keeping a professional feel. Logo and branding was a top priority because all their projects needed a great brand to elevate the overall design. There were a few brochure designs and graphics projects that were also urgent because important properties were for sale.
The Brief – Being a village agency they wanted to come across very professional but stand apart from their competitors. Logos that are bold on the website, yet still high end on other designs like window cards and brochures. Create a strong brand that is instantly recognised and therefore looks established.
First of all goal one, create a branding that is bold and with a tried and tested colour scheme of Black and Grey with Gold accents. The right bottom corner has a curve which follows through in the entire branding and stationery scheme. Our client loved the gold curve so much, as a result he asked for that to appear on ever other design project we design from that day. We were delighted with this since the rest of the designs were now as a result much better with the curve.
In conclusion we have created Shop fronts, signage, calendar magnets, stationery as well as brochure designs. Catalogues, website, adverts and leaflets have been created too therefore we knew exactly how to implement the brand since the design was set. A design element that can be applied to everything is a huge advantage to designers hence a very pleased client. Brochure designs are quite popular with medium size businesses and as a result more design requests head our way. Have a chat with one of us about your brochure designs because we are here to help.
Town and Country Estate Agents have been our clients since 2005.
Power-IT – Here we have a business based near Milton Keynes that repairs Apple Mac power supply units across the UK. For years they had neglected their company image. They didn’t see it as an important part of running their business. Realising the importance of a good logo and branding, and especially relevant a fully functional website, they made the call. They approached us to create a logo. Further they needed help to enhance their business brand but most noteworthy, a responsive web design.
The Brief – Using an electrical theme with a computerised feel for the branding across the board. While making sure that the technical side and the power elements were visual. Blue grey and white colour range was the preferred choice for all designs, while keeping in mind that bright colours are not out of the question as an accent.
The logo represents the foil on a circuit board and the additional design to enhance the ‘power’ elements. The blue colours needed a bit of a lift therefore we gave it a touch of deep yellow since it was an ideal contrasting hue. Masculine dusty blues seem to be especially successful for this computer company yet a bright yellow also looked great in their logo.
Their corporate stationery has a contemporary graphic slant that looks stunning while adding interest. It works extremely well across all the designs and most noteworthy the website look is greatly enhanced. While their customers were delighted at how the look has improved, many of them had no problem complimenting him on the results.
In conclusion, we have created corporate stationery, a responsive web site, adverts and leaflets for Power-IT. They had a laugh at how dated their company image was before. Their web site has a graphic slant that serves to bring together the web site and corporate identity as a cohesive and pleasing feel. It is visually pleasing hence a strong addition to the website design.
A true gentleman and another superb client to work with.
They have been with us since 2004.
Inspired Gifts UK – First of all this client approached us for web design, having had no previous experience with setting up e-commerce websites or having a strong branding. They have been in business over 40 years selling UK souvenirs and wanted to branch out to home, baby and wedding gifts.
The Brief – A soft feminine approach with the use of light colours. Easy to use and easy to update the website themselves with full admin backend. Include full google ranking SEO and a billboard, designed for advertising in London over the Christmas period.
First of all, a lovely duck egg blue script font was used for the Inspired gifts logo wording. Followed by a gift box icon with ribbon in the shape of a butterfly. When used together, these design elements give a soft yet sophisticated look. The logo looks good on all their corporate stationery as well as their responsive web design and promotional materials. Our client loved the design so much and we got the go ahead to use it on everything. Showing the diversity of the branding a reversed white logo really pops out on the home page!
Web design with the right colour combination and in addition adjust to suit the screen size, really stand out for all the right reasons. Time for a great responsive web design that adjusts to any size computer screen, tablet or smartphone. Showing off their new logo proudly, the site uses soft tranquil colours, duck egg blue, turquoise and accents of modern dusty lilac.
Finally this incredible website features a shop with a variety of gifts for the home, baby and pets. Our web design not only looks good, they also function very well too. It has a database for public accounts and a trade sign up, e-commerce gateway feature. Online purchasing and in addition, Paypal automated invoicing system helps the admin team.
In conclusion we have created a billboard, logo, e-commerce site along with social media advertising, Amazon & eBay shop setups. Our client love their new site and so do we. Web design that is a bit special always features on our online portfolio and in addition a link to the website is always included.
What a pleasure it was to work with such amazing people again, consequently we look forward to the next project with fond enthusiasm.

Firstly it is very rare to find good web design agency that is affordable, responsive, looks fantastic and can be found by google. This is where Graphic Idea trumps other web designers. Our web design portfolio and google search results speak for themselves and our websites are all fluid responsive. This means that our sites don’t just scale down but the layout actually re-shuffles itself on smaller screens. As for the price, why not ask for a quote for your project to see how affordable top quality design can be.
The Brief – Create a web design that is colourful, playful and easy to use. It must look good on all devices including iPhones, smartphones and iPads. As it is a childminders website, I would like it to be bright and especially relevant easy to use. A cheerful and happy site while including boys and girls colours in equal amounts. Create a playful logo with bunnies and bright colours for boys and girls and it should probably be designed with signage in mind.
First of all we needed to design a logo that had many elements in it to tell a little story. This logo has clouds, a colourful rainbow and a yellow sun. Two happy bunnies sit on the word logo with one dusty pink for girls and one duck egg blue for boys. This logo is fun for the kids but most noteworthy it works very well as a large sign for the Play Centre.
A brand new web design for Bouncing Bunnies childminding located in West Hunsbury, Northampton. This new business strives to offer a home from home experience. To ensure that the children feel as happy and secure as they would in their own homes. A colourful website for parents to stay informed on day to day activities.
In conclusion, we created a lovely responsive web design with actual bouncing bunnies. It can be enjoyed on any device including tablets and smartphones. Just slide your browser window smaller you will see how fluid the website is as it changes layout automatically. Thus, all our websites are designed with smaller screens in mind. Our websites are user friendly therefore finding your way to vital information is a breeze. Finally, never worry about how your websites look on any screen again with our fluid websites. Yes, your site looks great but most of all, it works on any device and thats piece of mind.
